“A Trip to the Moon” (and its Legacy)

“A Trip to the Moon” explores the restoration and legacy of Georges Melies’ 1904 film of the same name at 7 p.m. Thursday. University of Notre Dame professor Donald Crafton, a film history and visual culture specialist, will introduce the film.

“Cruising”

This 1980 psychological thriller stars Al Pacino as Steve Burns.  Burns, an undercover cop, is sent to track down a serial killer who targets gay men at S&M bars. Part of the cinema’s midnight film series, “Cruising” will begin at 11:59 p.m. Friday. Tickets cost $3.
