FINAL: IU 93, Jacksonville 59

After early shooting woes, while the Jacksonville Dolphins stayed close for much of the first half, the IU men's basketball team was able to finally break away on the heels of senior guard Jordan Hulls' 3-point touch in the first half and eventually took down the Dophins 93-59 Friday night at Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers ended the first 20 minutes of the game shooting 47.2 percent from the floor, but guards senior Jordan Hulls and junior Victor Oladipo combined to shoot 9-for-12 in the first half, leaving their teammates shooting just 33 percent.

With 8:33 left in the first half, IU was up just 21-17, but from there on, Hulls took over, making four 3-pointers, including three-straight in 43 seconds to help the Hoosiers break away from the Dolphins to close the half.

Hulls hit another 3-pointer early in the second half and finished with a game-high 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Hoosiers also had four other players in double figures on the evening: sophomore forward Cody Zeller scored 16 on 10 points in the last 6:17; Oladipo and junior forward Will Sheehey each added 14, and senior forward Christian Watford added 11 on 5-for-6 shooting from the free throw line.
