Araabmuzik: For Professional Use Only

This Providence, R.I., trap/hip-hop producer gave his listeners a whole lot of new music, but not much of it will be memorable. While newcomers are encouraged by the title to stay away, they may be the only ones who find this project appealing.

“The Prince Is Coming” and “SUCCUBI” bring a fresh dose of originality and more of this is sprinkled throughout the final result. But for returning fans, araabMUZIK’s stand-out piece is “Heaven.” It sounds like a modernized, audible version of a fight scene from “The Matrix,” and we all loved that movie, right?

This mix tape shot too high, and with a total of 21 tracks, it appears evident this artist was concerned with quantity rather than quality.

While the project is by no means something you need to turn off in order to avoid potential bleeding of the ears, it really doesn’t do much to grab the listener’s attention. It’s better than a lot of mainstream trap production, but not as good as Araabmuzik has the potential to be.
