Bloomington police are investigating two sexual assaults reported by the same woman last week.
At about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call at Bloomington Hospital, where a 20-year-old woman reported she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance on two separate occasions at the same northside residence, Sgt. Joseph Crider said.
The first incident, the victim told police, occurred Friday when the suspect, a 22-year-old male, inappropriately touched her and made unwelcome sexual advances.
The second incident reportedly occurred during late Monday evening or the early morning hours of Tuesday, when the victim reported she was sexually assaulted by the same male acquaintance, she told police.
A nurse administered a rape kit Tuesday, Crider said. As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, police had not spoken with the suspect, but the case remains active.
