Woman reports rape after break-in

Bloomington police are investigating a reported sexual assault of a 29-year-old woman, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Joseph Crider said.

Police spoke with the victim at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday at a west-side residence. The victim reported an unknown man forced entry into her residence, confined her and sexually assaulted her.

Results of a rape kit are pending, and the case remains active.
