Zeller declares for 2013 NBA Draft

Sophomore forward Cody Zeller has announced he will enter the 2013 NBA Draft, according to a press release from his family's organization's website, DistinXion.org.

"While I will continue to pursue my degree in the future, I believe it is in my best interest to pursue my professional basketball career in the NBA next season," Zeller said in the release. "I have truly loved wearing the candy stripped pants and I will forever be proud to call myself a Hoosier.”

He and IU Coach Tom Crean will hold a press conference at 4:10 p.m. today on the Assembly Hall court to discuss Zeller's future plans.

Zeller's teammate, junior guard Victor Oladipo, announced at a similar press conference Tuesday afternoon his own intentions to go pro.

With Zeller leaving, IU will be without its top four scorers from this year entering next season. Zeller, Oladipo, senior guard Jordan Hulls and senior forward Christian Watford combined for 51.2 points per game this season. Each has scored more than 1000 points in their IU careers.
