IU to begin 2014 conference play with Maryland

IU football will waste no time getting acquainted with new conference foe Maryland in 2014.

The Big Ten released the conference football schedule for 2014 on Thursday afternoon. IU will open the conference season with Maryland on Sept. 27, 2014 at home in Memorial Stadium.

IU will also host Purdue at home Nov. 29. That means the Hoosiers and Boilermakers will play back-to-back Old Oaken Bucket games in Bloomington, as IU welcomes Purdue to Memorial Stadium Nov. 30 in the coming season.

The Hoosiers will have both of their bye weeks within the first five weeks of the season.
In addition to Maryland and Purdue, IU will also play Michigan State and Penn State in Bloomington. The Hoosiers will travel to games at Iowa, Michigan, Rutgers and Ohio State.
