20-year-old woman reports gun threat

A 20-year-old woman reported she was grabbed around the waist by a male who said he had a gun early Saturday morning, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Dana Cole said.

The woman thought a friend was playing a joke on her around 2:15 a.m. near Seventh and Washington streets. When she turned around to confront the individual, a man whom she did not recognize ran south on North Lincoln Street.

She then ran to a nearby friend’s residence to call police. Officers could not find anyone in the area around 3 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, between 5’6” and 5’8” in height, with short blonde hair and scruffy facial hair.
