IU lands third 2014 football commit

According to peegs.com and the Los Angeles Times, Venice High School (California) quarterback Alexander Diamont committed to the IU football program Wednesday.

Diamont is the third commit for the 2014 class.

He will join current sophomore Nate Sudfeld as the second quarterback from California on the roster.

Diamont, who stands at 6-feet-2-inches and weighs 170 pounds, is listed as a pro style quarterback on peegs.com. In addition to football, he has worked as a model and is the son of soap opera actor Don Diamont.

According to reports, Diamont was offered a scholarship Tuesday while at an IU football camp.

Reports say he accepted the offer shortly after.
