19-year-old male considered missing

A 19-year-old male is missing after leaving his sister’s residence at 8:07 p.m. on July 8, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Joe Crider said.

Officers responded to the 700 Block of South Walker Street in reference to a welfare check of a 19-year-old male who left a suicide note at his sister’s residence before leaving on foot.

His 22-year-old sister reported to the police that her brother had left the note, his wallet, and his car keys before leaving the residence.

After officers obtained his physical and clothing description, they attempted to locate the male, but were unable to do so.

Police said that it appears as though there was no cell phone to track.

Officers indicated to his sister that if he returned, she should contact him.

She has yet to do so, police said.

At this point, he is considered an active missing person, Crider said.
