IU Student Foundation hires new director

Danielle Mitchell

The IU Student Foundation has named Danielle Mitchell their new organization director. In her new role, Mitchell will lead a team responsible for student mentoring and leadership programming, according to a press release.

“I’m thrilled to join the IU Student Foundation," Mitchell said in the release. "Over the course of my career I have had the opportunity to be a part of strong organizations and I know this experience will be no different.”

Mitchell previously worked as department administrator for the Applied Psychology Department at New York University and as an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse, an international financial services group.

“I'm very excited that Danielle will be joining the Indiana University Foundation family,” said Jeff Lindauer, IU Foundation associate vice president for development, in the release. “Her unique background in both higher education and the corporate sector will provide an excellent basis for her leadership of the IU Student Foundation.”

IUSF grants student scholarships, which it funds by staging events like the Little 500.

“I look forward to taking on the challenges the IUSF will face in the 21st century as we continually strive to attract talented students and provide learning opportunities that will help them in their lives after college,” Mitchell said.
