“Prince Avalanche” is currently running through Sept. 1 in the IU Cinema as part of the 2013 International Arthouse series.

The film is considered a comedy and is open to all students, staff and the general public.

“Prince Avalanche” was adapted from the Icelandic film “Either Way,” though the cast, which includes Paul Rudd, Emile Hirsch and Lance LeGault, portray a slightly different story, directed by writer/director David Gordon Green.

The film is about an unlikely pair of friends who develop a friendship in an unconventional way through “humor and nasty exchanges,” according to
visitbloomington.com. The film is an independent piece with soundtrack by Explosions in the Sky and David Wingo and cinematography by Tim Orr.

Tickets can be purchased at the IU Auditorium Box Office prior to the showing or in the IU Cinema lobby one hour before the show. Student tickets are $3, and general public tickets are $6.
