Cardinal Stage Company presents “Lord of the Flies” starting Wednesday

The Cardinal Stage Company will present “Lord of the Flies”  from Sept. 11 to Sept. 15 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

Tickets can be purchased online from the Cardinal Stage Company’s website.

The story follows young boys stranded on a desert island and the challenges they face.

In a press release, Artistic Director Randy White said the story is sure to have a profound effect on the audience.

“There’s a reason shows like ‘Survivor’ and ‘Lost’ have been so successful,” White said.
“Kids and adults alike continue to be drawn to these types of elemental survival stories.”

Other shows the theater company will produce throughout the year include “August: Osage County,” “Willy Wonka,” “Whipping Man” and “Les Misérables.”
