IU Coach Tom Crean will deliver his fifth preseason lecture at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at the IU Auditorium, according to a Union Board release.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Crean has delivered a free, public talk about the team five of the six years he has been at IU.
This year, the title of the lecture is “The State of the Hoosier Nation.”
Crean is expected to talk about the new freshmen recruits, the development of returning players in the offseason and what he expects for this year’s team.
He will also take questions from the audience, and he will sign autographs following the discussion.
Last year, Crean took questions on topics like what his brown-colored drink is that he always has in a water bottle on the sidelines and why he made the facial expression he did after beating Kentucky in 2011.
Seating at the IU Auditorium is limited to the first 2,000 people. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
