Man brandishes knife during argument

A 31-year-old Bloomington man was arrested after reportedly swinging a knife during an argument Friday afternoon.

A 39-year-old man reported to police he was riding his bike on the B-Line Trail when Matthew Wilson followed him to the 200 block of North Morton Street at about 12:12 p.m., Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Ian Lovan said.

The two men then argued, and the victim said Wilson pulled out a folding knife, exposed the blade and made slashing motions.

However, Wilson reported to police he pulled out the knife but did not expose the blade, Lovan said.

Wilson was arrested for attempted battery with a deadly weapon.
