Girl reports sexual assault

A 16-year-old girl reported she was sexually assaulted once by a 22-year-old man in June.

The girl and her mother reported the incident to the Bloomington Police Department Oct. 25, BPD Sgt. Lucas Tate said.

The man has propositioned the girl multiple times since 2012.

The incidents reportedly occurred at different locations in Bloomington and Monroe County, Tate said.

The girl said the man who sexually assaulted her is a family member.
