Robbery reported at city food mart

The Bloomington Police Department is searching for a man who committed an armed robbery Sunday.

BPD responded at 4 a.m. to the Circle S Food Mart  at 2110 N. Walnut St.  after a clerk reported that a black man pointed a silver revolver and demanded money, BPD Sgt. Joe Crider said.

The black man was described as about 6 feet tall with a heavy build and wearing blue sweatpants and a black jacket with a gray hoodie.

The man stole an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store heading south on Walnut Street.
