Woman tells police she was sexually assaulted

A 22-year-old woman reported Monday she was sexually assaulted by a man she knows.

Bloomington Police Department officers responded to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for the report of a sexual assault at about 8:15 p.m. Monday, BPD Sgt. Joe Crider said.

The woman reported to police she attended a party with the man Nov. 1.

She then woke up at her residence and said the man was on top of her, sexually
assaulting her, Crider said.
The woman could not recall what happened between the party and the sexual assault.

The woman told police she does not want to proceed with the
investigation.
