IU field hockey junior forward Audra Heilman continues to collect postseason awards for her play during the 2013 season.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Monday that Heilman was named a Longstretch NFHCA Third Team All-American. Heilman becomes the second IU player in program history to be named to the NFHCA All-American team. Former Hoosier Corey Brautigam was the only other IU player to receive the honor, named a member of the third team in 2009.
Heilman scored 10 goals during the 2013 season and recorded 12 assists, which tied a single-season program record. She also scored 32 total points this season, which was the fourth most points scored in a single season in the history of the program.
Along with her All-American team honor, Heilman was named to First Team All-Big Ten after winning two Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week awards this season. She also was a NFHCA All-Region selection.
