HALFTIME: IU leads Nebraska, 32-19

At the half, the IU men’s basketball team leads Nebraska 32-19. The Hoosiers went on two scoring runs of 12 and 15 points to give them a double-digit lead on the road.

Freshman guard Stanford Robinson, making his third consecutive start, went 4-for-5 from the field for 10 points. Robinson also recorded two steals.

Sophomore guard Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell led the Hoosiers in scoring with 11 points. The Hoosiers’ leading scorer went 4-for-8 from the floor, and added three assists.

With the Hoosiers in a scoring lull midway through the first half, Ferrell and Robinson hit back-to-back banked 3-point shots. Indiana went 4-for-9 from beyond the arc, while Nebraska went 2-for-8.

The first half featured a prolific amount of turnovers, with Indiana committing 12 and  Nebraska committing 11. The Hoosiers however, shot 48 percent from the field, while Nebraska was limited to 34.8 percent.

Nebraska’s Terran Petteway, the Big Ten’s second leading scorer in Big Ten
play, was limited to five points on just four shot attempts.
