Iowa game rescheduled for Feb. 27

IU will be host to Iowa at 9 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at Assembly Hall, according to a University press release. The originally scheduled game was postponed after a piece of metal plating fell from the ceiling of Assembly Hall into the stands at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

“Both our University and outside consulting engineers have advised us—and we in turn have advised the Big Ten—that the remediation of the problems at Assembly Hall will be 100% complete by early next week and that Assembly Hall will be safe and ready to host Thursday’s men’s basketball game without any limitations or restrictions,” IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass said.

The teams had 72 hours from the time of the postponement to agree upon a mutually beneficial date. The game will be aired on ESPN.
