INDIANAPOLIS — After one half of play, Michigan leads IU 43-28.
Michigan junior forward Cyesha Goree leads all scorers with 10 points. Freshman guard Alexis Gassion leads IU with nine points.
The Hoosiers started quickly with five points in the first 50 seconds of the game and jumped out to an early 9-6 lead.
However, IU would score just eight in the next 15 minutes of play.
The Wolverines responded with a 9-2 run for its first lead of the half. That run grew to 13-4 through the first eight minutes.
Michigan led by as many as 18 in the first half and shot 50 percent from the field, while the Hoosiers shot only 40 percent from the field.
