A 21-year-old man suffered swelling, contusions and lacerations to his face after a group of males allegedly attacked him.
Police said the victim appeared to be disoriented Sunday when officers responded to the report at about 2 a.m. in the 300 block of East Varsity Lane, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Joe Crider said.
Witnesses said they saw a group of men attack the victim.
One man struck the victim to the ground, and the rest of the group kicked the man, Crider said.
The victim was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, but as of Monday his status was not available.
This means the patient has either been released or has chosen to keep his information private.
Police have information about the suspects and are actively investigating the incident.
The victim said he had his wallet and phone prior to the alleged attack and reported not being able to find them after the incident.
