Pittman transfers to IU women's soccer

IU Coach Amy Berbary announced Monday that sophomore defender Molly Pittman has transferred to IU and will be eligible to play in 2014.

Pittman, a Carmel, Ind., native, played in 21 games last year for Samford, making 20 starts en route to being named both to Second Team All-Southern Conference and to the conference All-Freshman Team. She played for a Bulldogs defensive backfield that allowed 24 goals last season.

“Molly is a tremendous player with great character,” Berbary said in a release. “We are thrilled to have her join our program and look forward to what she is able to bring to Indiana University on and off the field.”
