The 50-meter backstroke race was one of two for Snodgrass, who finished in 27.97 seconds, a new Canadian record. She beat out Emily Seebohm of Australia by .01 seconds to claim a spot on the ?podium.
Snodgrass also made the championship final of the 100-meter backstroke earlier in the games and placed eighth.
Snodgrass earned a spot on the Canada National Team after a record-breaking 2013-14 season when she became the second NCAA Champion in IU history by winning the 200-yard backstroke.
A big year earned the sophomore Big Ten Swimmer of the Year honors.
Snodgrass is also the reigning Big Ten champion in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke.
Before returning to Bloomington for her junior season, Snodgrass will continue international competition next month at the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships in Australia.
