IU falls to Maryland, 37-15

Two Maryland quarterbacks combined to throw for 361 yards on 22-of-33 passing in a 37-15 win over IU Saturday.

The Hoosiers got a touchdown from junior running back Tevin Coleman and redshirt freshman kicker Griffin Oakes was 3-of-4 on field goal attempts. Oakes recorded a 58-yard field goal, the longest in IU history.

Coleman now has a touchdown in 13-consecutive games, an all-time IU record. The junior also extended his streak of consecutive 100-yard games to six. He had 122 yards on 22 carries.

Entering the game averaging 547 offensive yards per game, IU compiled just 332 yards of total offense against the Terrapins.

The offense was unable to get into its normal rhythm all game. Nate Sudfeld completed 14 of his 37 pass attempts and threw an interception with under six minutes remaining in the game.

Nick Stoner led all IU receivers with four catches for 40 yards.

Maryland starting quarterback C.J. Brown spent the second half on the sidelines and was replaced by Caleb Rowe, who threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns.

Maryland linebacker Cole Farrand led the defense with 19 tackles.
