Senior Taylor Walsh (165) went 5-0 on the day to win in his weight class. In his first bout of the day, Walsh pinned his opponent in 1:42 to become the all-time leader in career pins at IU with 48.
He then picked up three more pins to increase his career total to 51.
Sophomore Nate Jackson (174) nearly gave IU two champions in his season debut but was defeated in a 5-3 decision in the ?championship match.
Senior Luke Scheridan (197) went 4-2 to finish fourth in the tournament. He picked up three pins to increase his career total ?to 24.
Sophomore Matt Irick (184) also finished fourth with a record of 5-2. He picked up two pins.
IU will be back in action Nov. 23 at the Keystone Classic at the University of Pennsylvania in ?Philadelphia.
