Halftime: IU leads Ohio State, 32-26

By the first media timeout, IU faced a 9-2 deficit. Junior forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea picked up two fouls in the first 84 seconds, a bit worse than when he picked up two in 86 seconds against Michigan State, and the Hoosiers had turned the ball over five times in just eight possessions.

The start was eerily similar to the Hoosiers’ 20-point blowout loss against Michigan State on Monday. Only this time IU had a response.

IU leads No. 22 Ohio State 32-26 at halftime thanks to a 26-6 run after being down 9-2 early on.

IU took a lead about midway through the opening half on a made 3-pointer by junior guard Nick Zeisloft, who had eight points, tying sophomore forward Troy Williams for the game’s high.

After being down 15-14 with just under 11 minutes left, IU rallied off a 13-5 run over the next six minutes in which four different Hoosiers scored.

Mosquerea-Perea responded to his early foul trouble by scoring four points and grabbing two rebounds. Mosquerea-Perea’s starting spot was in question heading into the game, but ultimately took the floor to start.

Eight different Hoosiers have scored.

Ohio State and IU both shot 33.3 percent from the field.
