IU will play Morehead State University on Dec. 5 at Assembly Hall as part of the Hoosiers’ nonconference men’s basketball schedule, per an open records request filed by the Indiana Daily Student.
The contract was signed by IU Athletic Director Fred Glass, IU Senior Vice President and CFO Treasurer MaryFrances McCourt and Morehead State Athletic Director Brian Hutchinson. The schools entered the agreement May 4.
IU will pay Morehead State $95,000 within 60 days of the game as ?compensation.
The Eagles were 17-17 last season with a 10-6 record in the Ohio Valley Conference. IU is 4-0 all-time against Morehead State, and the two schools last met in December 2003, when the Hoosiers won 77-57 in Bloomington.
