Cathedral (Ind.) High School guard Eron Gordon decided to postpone his college announcement just a day after setting a date and time for his official announcement, which was supposed to take place at noon Saturday at Indianapolis’ Jewish Community Center.
“I’ve decided to postpone the College Commitment would like explore my college visits,” he tweeted Wednesday evening.
In June, Gordon told the IDS he planned to visit Arizona State, Auburn, IU, Notre Dame and Xavier.
However, another school has since entered the fray for Gordon. LSU — believed to be one of the leading schools, if not the favorite, in the 6-foot-3 rising senior’s recruitment — offered him a scholarship in July. Gordon has ties to Louisiana thanks to his oldest brother, Eric, who plays in the NBA for the New Orleans Pelicans.
