IU landed its first commitment for its 2017 recruiting class on Monday morning. Aljami Durham, a 6-foot-4 guard from Georgia, verbally committed to IU following a visit to Bloomington for Hoosier Hysteria.
"After discussing my options with my family we have decided that Indiana University will be the best place for me to attend college and further my basketball career," Durham said in a statement posted on his Twitter account, along with an edited picture of him in an IU uniform.
Durham is a three-star, left-handed guard, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, which rank him as the No. 138 recruit among high school juniors.
