The men's basketball team added its fourth recruit for the 2016 class Saturday, as Devonte Green announced he would be coming to Bloomington next season.
Green, rated as a three-star point guard, was also offered scholarships by a variety of schools, including Arizona, Iowa, Rutgers and Texas.
The 6-foot-1 guard plays high school basketball at Long Island Lutheran High School in Manhasset, New York, and is ranked as the 32nd best point guard by 247Sports.com. He is also the younger brother of Danny Green, who currently plays for the San Antonio Spurs.
Green is the third guard of the 2016 recruiting class, to go along with Curtis Jones and Grant Gelon.
IU has now reached the maximum amount of scholarship players for next season. If any of the other players IU has extended scholarship offers to commit, a current player will need to transfer or leave early for the NBA Draft.
