Early voting in Bloomington has begun.
In the coming weeks and in the primary election on May 3, I hope my fellow Monroe County residents will vote for Darcie Fawcett for Monroe County Circuit Court Judge, Seat 1. Darcie’s experience — over a decade as deputy prosecutor, often assigned the toughest of cases, and her years as a teacher in Indianapolis and Chicago public schools — shows her willingness to take on difficult issues in challenging situations.
I know Darcie through her engagement in the community, as president of both our neighborhood association and of Fairview Elementary PTO. Her commitment is genuine and her work to engage those around her is tireless.
I admire her intelligence, her ability to assess the key components of an issue and seek consensus, and her leadership in finding solutions. She works to provide an equitable setting where all voices have an opportunity to be heard and she treats all with respect.
Darcie has pointed out that our courts do not operate in a vacuum; court decisions affect our community in a very tangible way.
Knowing Darcie’s courtroom experience and her solid record of community engagement, I plan to vote for her in the primary on May 3 and I hope that you will too. Learn more about Darcie at fawcettforjudge.com or follow her campaign on Facebook at “Fawcett for Judge.”
