New charges of child molestation on bus driver

Child molestation charges have been added to the case of Timothy Poteat, a Monroe County Community School Corporation bus driver.

Poteat, 43, was initially arrested on charges of child exploitation, but the Bloomington Police Department has since uncovered evidence to add the molestation charge.

BPD found photos of Poteat's juvenile daughter on his computer while going through confiscated electronics Oct. 19. These images showed Poteat and the daughter engaged with several sex objects.

BPD Lt. John Kovach said Poteat's ex-wife, mother of the daughter in the photos, told police she did not believe the video was of her daughter. The mother did identify her daughter as the one in the photos, however.

Video was also found which showed a second juvenile girl being penetrated by a sex object.

No bond is possible for bail while Poteat is in jail, according to BPD records.
