IU senior defender Kate Barber was selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association to participate in NFHCA’s Division I Senior Game.
The team captain has become the Hoosiers’ main player on offense this season and is the program’s new single-season record holder in goals and points with 18 and 40 respectively.
Barber scored 15 goals within the first 10 games of the season, which puts her tops in the nation in goals per game.
This would be the third consecutive year that an IU player is selected to participate in the event. Audra Heilman played in the game in 2014 and Sydney Supica played last year.
In the last 13 years, 14 Hoosiers have played in the game.
The game will take place at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 19 during championship weekend at Old Dominion University in Roanoke, Virginia.
