Mike McGinnis upped IU's 2017 recruiting class to 17 members Sunday.
The JUCO inside linebacker out of ASA College received an offer from the Hoosiers on Dec. 14, five days after he took an official visit to Bloomington, and committed four days later. IU linebackers coach William Inge also visited McGinnis on Nov. 29.
"I would like to thank all the programs that extended me an offer, it was a great honor to be considered by each school," McGinnis said via a statement on Twitter. "I feel as if Indiana best fits my needs and goals for the future."
Ohio University, Bowling Green and Louisiana-Monroe also offered him spots on their rosters.
McGinnis, a 247Sports Composite three-star recruit, is the ninth-ranked junior college inside linebacker in the nation and 148th recruit overall. A native of Allentown, New Jersey, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound defender is the second linebacker in IU's 2017 class.
