Rashard Fant will spend one more year on the IU football team, the junior cornerback confirmed on Twitter.
“One More Year; I’m in! #IUFB,” he tweeted Thursday morning.
The Atlanta native earned a spot on the All-Big Ten second team with his three interceptions and conference-leading 17 pass breakups. Among active NCAA players, he is first in career passes defended with 48 with an average 1.3 per game in 38 appearances. He was tied for second nationally in both 2015 and 2016 for pass breakups with 22 and 17, respectively.
