Junior Michael Hixon was named Big Ten Diver of the Week on Wednesday for the second time this season.
Hixon won both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard competitions against Michigan this past Friday with scores of 430.43 and 443.33, respectively. The two victories gave him six individual crowns this season.
Hixon entered this season after winning a silver medal for Team USA in the 3-meter synchronized dive at the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics. He also finished 10th in the 3-meter springboard per an IU press release.
IU takes on Purdue at 11 a.m. Saturday in West Lafayette, Indiana.
