Five-star point guard and IU men's basketball recruit Darius Garland chose Vanderbilt University over IU, Kentucky and UCLA as his college destination Monday afternoon.
While Garland announced his decision late in the afternoon at his secondary school, Brentwood Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, a report by ESPN's Paul Biancardi earlier in the day said Garland would commit to the Commodores.
Brentwood Academy is located in Nashville, Tennessee, where Vanderbilt University is located, and he is the No. 11-ranked prospect in the class of 2018 by ESPN.
He visited IU for Hoosier Hysteria on Oct. 21.
