Men's basketball lands four letters of intent

Head Coach Archie Miller enters the court prior to Indiana's game against The University of Indianapolis on Nov. 5 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers beat the Greyhounds in the exhibition game 74-53.

Four IU commits signed their letters of intent with IU on Wednesday as the beginning of the early signing period began.

Forward Damezi Anderson was the first player to sign his letter of intent. Anderson is the No. 97 ranked player per the 247 Composite rankings. Anderson is an in-state commit from South Bend Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana.

Pickerington North High School (Ohio) forward Jerome Hunter was IU’s second signee Wednesday. He was joined by three-star forward Jake Forrester from Pennsylvania.

McCutcheon High School point guard Robert Phinisee, from Lafayette, Indiana, was expected to sign with IU on Thursday, but IU announced it already received his letter of intent on Wednesday.
