Free Cookie Thursday at Baked! of Bloomington

DSC01803.JPG

Founded in 2006 by Jared Schneider, Baked! of Bloomington makes custom, fresh baked cookies and delivers them to Bloomington residents until 4 a.m. every day. Schneider got the idea for Baked! after he got tired of the late-night delivery market in Bloomington and found that it lacked customizable ways to satisfy his sweet tooth.

In order to celebrate their customers, Baked! of Bloomington made Thursday, April 19, Free Cookie Day. Customers could come in throughout the day to order custom made cookies or choose a cookie from a batch made in bulk.

All the recipes from Baked! are adapted from Schneider's mother's recipes.

The menu is made up of three steps. First, you have to pick the dough for your cookies. The options are sugar, oatmeal, chocolate or peanut butter. Baked! also offer a variety of seasonal cookies, as well as gluten free and vegan cookies for those with dietary restrictions.

Second, you pick your mix-ins. These include anything from chocolate chips to cheesecake bites.

Lastly, the afterbakes. These include frosting or a candy bar to go on top of the cookies.
