A man tried to set fire to a portable toilet Memorial Day.
The man told police he had been eating a burrito at the 2910 W Third St. McDonald's and he needed to take his insulin. According to police, he then thought it might be a good idea to take his lighter and some paper and attempt to set a nearby portable toilet on fire.
Bloominton Police and Bloomington Fire Departments both responded to the call, but the man was unable to set the toilet on fire.
BPD Capt. Steve Kellams said the man is transient and they advised him about disorderly conduct and let him go on his way.
The portable toilet remains undamaged.
