The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday morning.
Per a BPD news release, officers responded at 2:46 a.m. Monday to the 2400 block of West Third Street. Police had received a 911 call about a fight in progress at the location, and a man lying on the ground.
On arrival, officers found a Hispanic man in his 20s suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers also located a second victim, another Hispanic man in his 20s, in the 500 block of Basswood Drive. He was also suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital in critical condition.
The victims have not yet been identified.
According to the news release, investigators believe based on the preliminary investigation the victims and other Hispanic men were in the 2500 block of West Third Street, where the fight began.
Investigators believe the victims and suspects know each other.
