A search warrant led to the Tuesday night arrest of a Bloomington man on felony drug charges.
Khiry Jackson, 28, was being investigated by the Bloomington Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit prior to his arrest, according to Sgt. Dana Cole.
When police searched his apartment, they reported finding $9,500 cash, a military-grade armored plate vest, two long guns, five handguns, 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine and four grams of heroin.
Jackson admitted to dealing and told officers he trucks one pound of meth at a time from Indianapolis to Bloomington for distribution.
He was arrested on the preliminary felony charges of dealing meth and narcotics.
BPD Sgt. Dana Cole said the department is looking into whether the U.S. Attorney General’s office is interested in pursuing federal charges.
