IU men’s basketball senior forward Juwan Morgan and freshman guard Romeo Langford were both selected to the preseason 2018-19 All-Big Ten team, as announced on Thursday prior to Big Ten Media Day in Rosemont, Illinois.
The 10-member team was selected by the Big Ten media voting panel.
Morgan earned second-team All-Big Ten honors last season, as he averaged 16.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
Langford was the only freshman this season to receive the honor.
He was ranked the No. 5 player in the Class of 2018 by ESPN and 247Sports during his senior year at New Albany High School in New Albany, Indiana, before joining IU.
IU and Michigan State were the only two schools with multiple players named to the team.
Purdue junior guard Carsen Edwards was named to the preseason All-Big Ten team and the preseason Player of the Year in the Big Ten.
Along with Edwards, Langford and Morgan, the preseason 2018-19 All-Big Ten team includes junior guard Anthony Cowan of Maryland, senior guard Charles Matthews of Michigan, junior forward Nick Ward and junior guard Cassius Winston of Michigan State, senior forward Jordan Murphy of Minnesota, senior forward James Palmer Jr. of Nebraska, junior guard Carsen Edwards of Purdue and senior forward Ethan Happ of Wisconsin.
Edwards and Happ were the only players unanimously named to the team.
