A 36-year-old Bloomington man was arrested on a warrant Jan. 24 at the Monroe County Jail for possession of child porn, according to a press release from Indiana State Police.
John Richardson’s South Westwood Drive home was searched in December by members of multiple state police units including the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, according to the release.
Richardson posted bail the same day of his arrest, according to court records.
Possession of child pornography could mean a lot of different things, Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil said. The charge could include child porn found on a home computer, zip drive or in someone’s pocket, he said.
Durnil did not have information on the specifics of what police found in Richardson’s home.
