A 27-year-old Bloomington man who allegedly raped a 24 -year-old woman in 2017 was arrested Tuesday.
Bloomington Police Department Sgt. John Kovach said Golby Desroches allegedly entered the woman’s house May 7, 2017, through an unlocked living room window.
He then went into the bedroom and raped the woman, police said.
The woman reported the rape to police the same day. She told police she was sleeping heavily at the time of the alleged attack and did not give consent to Desroches.
She knew Desroches and later confronted him about the incident, and he later admitted to the rape, Kovach said.
He admitted to the crime to police as well.
He was arrested in Johnson County on the outstanding warrant and booked into Monroe County Correctional Center on preliminary charges of two counts of rape, one count of burglary and failure to appear.
