Buskirk-Chumley Theater will be having an open house Jan. 25 from 2-5 p.m. for artists and event organizers who want to rent the theater or use the ticketing service.
The venue is available for recitals, weddings, concerts and more. During the open house, interested parties will be able to drop in and talk about the theater’s services.
Theater staff will be available during the open house if attendees would like to ask questions about logistics, fees, how to keep rental costs to a minimum and which technical equipment at the theater will be available for use.
Buskirk-Chumley has events over 200 days a year. Since it’s primarily a rental facility, only 15 percent of performances are selected by the Buskirk-Chumley, according to a press release from the theater.
The theater's calendar is determined by corporations, organizations, IU departments, artists and community members and range from locally-made films to youth dance recitals.
