The African American Dance Company will present its 45th annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

The concert will cover a wide variety of dances from the Americas and the African diaspora, combining modern jazz, hip-hop, African styles and more.

The show is directed by Stafford C. Berry Jr., a professor of practice in both the Department of Theatre, Drama and Contemporary Dance and the Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies. Berry is the director of the AADC, which is one of three performing ensembles from the African American Arts Institute.

The company is composed of IU students, who earn academic credit for their participation.

Tickets are available online and at the Buskirk-Chumley’s box office. General admission tickets are $25, but ID-carrying students and those 18 or younger can purchase discount tickets for $10.
