An unknown suspect broke into a shed Sunday night at Crestmont apartments and stole a gun and ammunition, among other items.
The owner left the key in the deadbolt overnight, Bloomington Police Sgt. Brandon Lopossa said. The owner found the shed open the next morning and reported it to the police.
The suspect stole a bag of Nike clothing valued at around $450, a G2C 9-millimeter handgun with a retail value of $250, multiple boxes of 9-millimeter ammunition and a lockbox with unspecified contents, Lopossa said.
The apartment was left untouched, and there was no signs of forced entry or attempts at burglary.
Lopossa said the investigation is not active.
